Life
After my time at the NGO, I ended up staying. Not only because I find the area beautiful and the cost of living low, but also because I am now married.
I had already fallen in love with Thailand a long time ago. But I never imagined that I would also fall in love with a Thai woman, an Akha woman to be precise. Here you can find the story of my wedding.
Travel
Mae Sai was not only my home for a long time, but it is also the northernmost city in Thailand, in Chiang Rai Province, an area that offers many places to visit and attractions.

Cycling in Thailand
My two bicycles are very important to me. On the one hand, cycling is a great way to take a break from working on the computer, and on the other, it’s a wonderful way to really experience Thailand. Here I share my experiences with cycling, longer bike tours, and day trips in northern Thailand. From time to time, I also take part in a triathlon. Cycling simply makes me happy.
